Hidroeléctrica SantAgua

Sagestone and a local partner, Ingeniero Leiva, formed a company, Hidroeléctrica Rancho Escondido S.A., to develop two hydroelectric projects in Guatemala.

Hydroeléctrica SantAgua, the project located near Chiquimulilla in the Department of Santa Rosa, was acquired by Financial Partner, Aura Capital in 2023 and bid into the PEG 4 Request for Proposals. And, the nominal 14.5 MW capacity SantAgua Project was awarded a 12 MW Power Purchase Agreement.

The SantAgua hybrid hydro/solar project will supply some 80,000 MWh of clean energy to the local distribution company when it enters commercial operation in Q4 2026.
